Lockdown Day 128 - Saturday 1 August

Today I am grateful for all the friends I have and all the people in my life, close and far, now and then. I have lived in lots of different places and met lots of amazing humans.
I am from the Class of 80! That's 40 years ago! I hadn't planned on attending any school reunions but when lockdown in SA started, I thought I might be able to get to Durban in July after all. Then the reunion was cancelled. But now I am Facebook friends with a few of the old "college gals."
And here's some advice.."Don't ever burn your bridges!" You may grow apart from friends through distance or circumstance but life has a funny way of turning out differently from how you saw it then. You are the person you are because of all the people in your life, close and far, then and now.
Who remembers the song  "Burning Bridges" from the movie "Kelly's Heroes"?
( 1970 )

This day last year we were in Zagreb, Croatia. Enjoying wine!
