Kalagadi NP Grootkolk Wilderness Camp

Monday 11 January
Lockdown Day 291
We left Nossob camp heading north
to Grootkolk. It wasn't as green as further South but heavy overnight rain had flooded the roads in many places making for some fun driving. This was the first time the Landcruiser had to do a bit of off road work. Grootkolk is an amazing place. Just 4 chalets and a floodlit waterhole in the middle of nowhere. We were lucky to make a last minute change and get a night here as it's usually fully booked a year in advance. Covid and Lockdown working in our favour for a change.
We cancelled our afternoon drive to Union's End because it was raining again but it's ready to just chill in a place like this.
