Safari 2021: Sossiesvlei : Namibia

Sunday 9 May
Lockdown Day 409
Driving through the Namib is amazing. The changing scenery is breathtaking. Awesome landscapes go on for hours and hours but the gravel roads are harsh and driving is difficult especially if you are towing. By the time we reached Sesriem Andrew had a slow puncture and our caravan needed two new tyres and a new jockey wheel. We abandoned one caravan cupboard door altogether. All shook up!
At Sesriem you must stay in the NWR campsite which is inside the National Park because you get access to Sossiesvlei before sunrise and you can stay out until 7.30pm. We drove out for sunset and it was awesome.
