Monday was the day we would have returned to South Africa. Monday night we would have been at Spur with the family as that's our first day back ritual. Tuesday we would have taken delivery of our new Landcruiser at Toyota. In the showroom, all smiles, as the dealer whisks off a cover to reveal the shiny new car amidst a flurry of posed handshakes and selfies. But that is not our world at the moment. I am not complaining. I am so, so lucky compared to most. But I am sad, not only for myself but for everyone who is struggling and grieving and trying to survive. Today's pics are of a few places our 15 year old bakkie has taken us; places we will no doubt at some stage visit again in our new car.
