Lockdown Day 27 - Wednesday 22 April

Another quiet day, enjoying the balcony. We can hear the rapids downstream now that the river has been running quite full for over a week. The bird list now sits at 108. There's a picture of the Bulbul who wakes me up when it's time to make coffee everyday by banging on the window.
And the hippo who swims upstream to the pod a few times a day but clearly only likes company in small doses.
I know a few humans like that. You guys are clearly enjoying the solitude of lockdown a lot more than those of us who just love hanging out in the middle of the pod organising parties, playing games and drinking white wine in the sun.
I baked a focaccia ( a success! )
and cooked a three course meal of brocolli and blue cheese soup, Iraqi pot roast chicken with rice and brinjal and baked apple cake with caramel sauce. I was making space in the fridge for a grocery delivery which included loads of fresh vegetables. And a few slabs of Cadburys. We haven't had sweets or chocolates for over a month!
