Lockdown Day 120 - Friday 24 July

120 days...4 months... Every now and then I experience a flash of frightening, crystal-clear reality. We are living in the midst of a sci-fi horror movie. Our lives and our freedoms are irrevocably changed. The world will not be as it was before. Then I happily go back to the business of living for today with all it's limited yet infinite potential.
We're existing in limbo between the nostalgia of lives and travels past and the anticipation of future plans.
Our elephant brought a friend today. I made naan bread with leftover chicken curry for lunch and we had a lekker braai in the evening. Neil dry-rubbed and slow cooked pork ribs then we just braaied them with a sweet smokey sauce. Possibly due to "cooking with wine" we forgot to take photos of the food!
